A write4kicks workshop can be a freestanding event or an excellent addition to an Arts or Activities Week. Either way, a fantastic opportunity to encourage interest in Creative Writing at your school.
We run workshops on:
- Storytelling
- Poetry
- Screenplays
- Playwriting
- Writing for Television
- Journalism
Each of these workshops is four hours in length (split over a morning and afternoon) and is run by one writer with a maximum of 20 students. The cost of all our workshops is £395 plus travel.*
Often we are asked to work with two different groups in one day, (one group of 20 in the morning and a second group of 20 in the afternoon) and on these occasions we provide a two-hour taster workshop for each group.
All students who successfully take part in a write4kicks workshop will receive a notebook, badge, pencil and certificate.
Following a full-length workshop (rather than a two-hour taster) the school will receive typed presentation copies of some of the writing their students produce on the day.
*Travel is charged at HMRC's advisory fuel rate of 21p per mile. Every effort will be made to use a writer based close to your school.
